  • What is Counselling

Counselling is a talking therapy with the aim to create a safe space to explore troubles and issues, and to facilitate change. This process usually begins with a telephone conversation to establish what the client needs and what service(s) I can offer. Once this has been established it will be followed up with an introductory session to create a shared agreement to meet your needs, during this session we can discuss and tailor your next sessions.

    What could Counselling help with

    • Depression, anxiety and loneliness.
    • Relationship problems, including marital breakdown.
    • Stress or anxiety due to fear of failure, PTSD, traumatic events.
    • Sexuality: exploring sexual orientation.
    • Addiction.
    • Workplace issues: workplace pressures, personal issues affecting your performance, job-related stress, counselling for staff of local businesses and schools.
That’s not to say that these are the only ailments that could benefit from therapeutic counselling though, I would be happy discuss individual alignments and needs in a free assessment session.
